Happy Halloween!
Pieces of Candy Corn? Traffic Cones? Nope, they're PUMPKINS! Macie and Caroline had fun in their homemade costumes, hamming it up for the neighbors and politely declining all the candy.

8 months and one day
Well, when people learned that Caroline had started crawling, they all asked when Macie would start. I, confidently, told everyone that Macie likes to sit and watch - she's not interested in moving yet. Apparently, that is not the case. Not to be outdone by her big, younger sister, Macie started army crawling today (pulling herself around on her belly) - one day after her sister. So, now we have two movers and shakers. I'm anticipating lots of chasing babies in my future! I'll try to get video of this development soon, once I get some sleep :) ha ha!

8 months old today! VIDEO
Life, as we knew it, has changed forever! As I got the camera ready to take some video of the girls this morning, Caroline started crawling! You can imagine (and hear) my surprise - I thought I had at least another week. Time to babyproof in earnest! Caroline and Macie are growing up!!!!

7 month old video and update (a little late!)
Caroline and Macie playing in their new living room. Both girls are starting to move - Caroline scoots backwards and rocks on her hands and knees and Macie scoots forwards or does the backstroke across the floor. They both sit up like champs! Caroline now has 2 teeth and Macie just got her first one a few days ago. Macie has waved a few times recently, too. They sit across from each other and have long conversations and laugh a lot! (Sometimes, they're talking when I go in to get them in the mornings). They eat food - some actually gets swallowed now and they love having a high chair. Caroline still outweighs Macie by about 1.5lbs (15lbs and 16.5lbs, respectively) and at Macie's heart check-up this week, the doctor said she's doing fine and we'll talk about taking her off her beta-blocker medicine in the next few months. Hopefully, by then, she'll have resolution of her tachycardia (high heart rate) that was so scary in utero. It's much less scary in babies and kids - just something we need to keep and eye out for and then treat if it returns. They are just so much fun to hang out with and we can't imagine what the last 5 months of their first year will bring!
Seeing double double?
Twin madness!
Just some pictures
