We had a great week filled with lots of new things!
Macie picked up a little German and has been saying, "Bitta bitza, beetsa. Bitta." (Translation - please, something something please.) It's really cute to listen to her tell stories in her own language.
Caroline is really INTO balls. She can roll them to you and kind of catch them when rolled to her. The other night, Mike was playing ball with Caroline and Macie was reading a book to herself. We couldn't help but wonder if their very different interests will hold in the future....
Both girls have gotten more adamant with their pointing and love looking for squirrels, birds, airplanes, cars, trucks, and of course dogs when we're outside. Another really fun activity has been standing on the couch waiting for Dad to come home - they get sooooo excited when they see him through the window and lean this way and that to get a better view!

On Saturday, we celebrated the 1-year birthday of our youngest set of PEPS twins - it's so fun to remember when we first met and they were all so little. Now, they're all crawling or walking or running around - in different directions!
Caroline and Macie made and signed a birthday card for me on Tuesday - it was so sweet! Ama was here babysitting and Mike and I got to go out that night to celebrate, which was great.

On Wednesday, we had Max (who turned 1 on Tuesday - we share our birthday) and his mom, Emily over for lunch. He and the girls had fun chasing each other around and eating cupcakes.
We went to the zoo on Thursday with Kai and his mom, Elizabeth. Caroline and Kai spent much of the time trying to hold hands between their strollers. She also called every animal she saw, "Dog!" No real surpise there! Macie "moo-ed" when we saw the cow and loved pointing at the little monkeys.
Today, we had some PEPS peeps, Finn, Grey, Ava and Jonas over to play because it was raining outside. Then, when it cleared up in the afternoon, we went to the park and met the girls' friend Noah. They loved playing on the seesaw and in the little house. What a great week of playing with their friends!!!!
Next week, Granpa Charlie gets here from Atlanta and we can't wait!
