Making cards

The girls helped me drive Daco to the airport to go on a bike trip with his "brudder," Uncle Bob. Here are the bon voyage cards they made them - see the "Daco" and "UBob" and monsters and windows and hearts? Can you find the girls' signatures?!

Ice Cream

C and M love Daddy nights - ice cream!!!!

Happiness is Dandelion Necklaces!

Macie cracks me UP in this picture! And, Caroline loves putting on dandelion "make-up" - oh, the things you can find and create on a bike ride!

Rattlesnake Lake for Karen

We gathered at Rattlesnake Lake a year after good friend and teaching mentor, Karen, passed away. Of course, the weather was unseasonably hot and wonderful! We miss her and enjoyed spending time remembering our Fairy Godmother!

Cooking

Since the weather's gotten nicer, the girls are outside all the time - concocting various potions, salads, soups, and leaf/rock delicacies. They are very committed to their craft and take "cooking" seriously. Check out my little chefs :)

Muffy Buffy and Rosie!

Macie and Caroline have adopted my childhood dolls - Muffy Buffy the bear (from my Grandma Lu) for Macie and Rosie the dolly (from my Granny Charlotte) for Caroline. I'm a little surprised how much they love them, with their matted fur and hair and squished bodies! It's very sweet to see them getting loved on and brings back wonderful memories from my childhood!

Yard

Mike and my mom have gotten a lot of great yard work done this spring! Check out our tulips (thanks, Uncle Steve and Judy!), the cute flowers the girls planted, the huge hedge that Mike pulled out, and of course, a little break to work on letters and numbers!

Easter in Monroe!

Happy Easter! We had a great time up in Monroe, dyeing Easter eggs, waking up to find the Easter Bunny had come (she even left tracks, a half-eaten carrot, and chocolate poop - AGAIN!), hunting for eggs with Jon and Gabe, and then going to church with the fam. What a great celebration!

Madz's Birthday

Celebrating Madeline's birthday with an awesome dinner at her house - love the picture of Dr. Greg with what looks like a crown of flowers on his head :) The girls LOVED the chocolate cake!

Sculpture Park - cool new stuff!

The indoor part of the Sculpture Park is changing - check out the cool silver Sharpie drawings! We were mesmerized.... And, then we played outside and checked out the fountain :)

Amsterdam

No, this post isn't about some great trip we're about to take... It's about our friends, the Winburns, moving to Amsterdam and our goodbye weekend! We had a girls' night with all twin moms - Courtney, Meredith, Jenny, and Helena to have one last hoorah with Courtney! The next morning, we met for a quick Easter egg and hunt and HUGE pancakes. They seem to be settling in to Holland just fine, but we miss you guys!!!!

Mr. Potato Heads for Easter!

The Easter Bunny came early this year, in the form of Sarah Lynch, bearing themed Mr. Potato Heads! How much do the girls love these?!?!

Bellingham

The girls and I had a great visit up in Bellingham with Ama and Daco during my Spring Break and even got to celebrate Ama's birthday (a couple days early) with her! Check out the cards that Macie and Caroline wrote ("To Ama")!
