Uncle Brock and Aunt Lindsay got the girls FUN birdhouses for their birthdays - and paints!  M and C loved getting to paint them any way they wanted!

Macie's hospital visit

Going to bed on a Monday night in March, we noticed that Macie was breathing fast and her heart-rate was up.  Mike took her to Urgent Care at Children's where they decided she probably had a respiratory infection (possibly early pneumonia) and a viral infection - BAM!  She slept on oxygen the first night and then was on her own, but still in the hospital for the next 2 days.  We realized it was the first time Macie and Caroline had spent the night away from each other or had been away from each other that long.  They both wanted to know what the other was doing all the time!  Macie loved her visit, though, and now wants to be a doctor when she grows up - who helps little babies :)

Madeline's Bachelorette Back-country Ski Weekend at Mt St Helens!!!!

What a great/crazy/fun/exciting weekend to celebrate Madz!  For her bachelorette party, she decided she wanted to ski UP Mt. St Helens (with skins on - so, like hiking up) and then ski down!  Kate flew in from TX, entertained the girls for a bit, and then we were off.  We started early and hiked up, getting maybe 2/3 of the way to the top (despite my novice-ness) and then skied partway down, hiked up a stretch again and skied all the way down.  It was beautiful and exhilarating!  Dinner and laughs afterwards on Mercer Island.  What a way to kick off the wedding week!!!!
