14 months old today! (aka, being bad....)

What?! 14 months already? Wow, time is flying this spring!!!! So, Caroline is a full-fledged walker now and it's pretty darn cute. Macie is not interested in joining her at all! However, Macie continues to expand her vocabulary - ball, cheese (cheez-za!), book, up, hi (with a wave!). Actually, both girls are a little obsessed with waving and smiling at people they don't know - they make a lot of friends that way! They both have started to get the way-back teeth on their upper gums. They eat a ton - everything we eat and more! We got a membership to the zoo, so that they can go check out the monkeys and scare all the other kids away with their yells, "UH UH OH OH OH!" (It's just a variation of "uh oh" - those monkeys!) Ok, here's some pics from today:

Macie and Caroline hanging out at the park... They love wearing their baseball caps now that it's sunny out! In these two pictures, Macie is being Caroline's bodyguard - see Caroline scouting the area? And then, while Macie protects her from mom, Caroline grabs a handful of wood chips and shoves them in her mouth! Nice teamwork :)

The girls with their new friend, Aleksei, and his mom, Priscilla. They had fun together - looking for dogs, climbing the slides, and playing on the bouncing chairs!

Whirlwind weekend!

While Mike had the girls for the weekend, I got to fly to Philly and meet Lizi's new baby, Schuyler... fly to Atlanta to go crew practice at Stone Mountain with the Emory Crew team and then give a talk at their banquet ... spend the night with college roomies Kristen and Shannon ... and fly home! Surprisingly, it was really relaxing and wonderful to see how Emory Crew has grown!

They still have the Longview! It's a double that we named after my Grandma Lucile Longview - wow! That boat has been around for 10 years now!

Long-time family friend, Linda Royalty, along with Auntie Linda visited us last week. Here they are with Macie modeling the fish shirt and Caroline modeling the lobster shirt that Linda R picked up for them in Maine, where she and Grandma Lu used to visit every year. It was great to see them!
