Yellow what?

No, it's not pineapple.... it's yellow watermelon! Macie, despite having 3 pieces in her mouth already, shows us how to eat it! Good job using your fork, M!

We're 1 and 1/2 years old!

The girls hit a big milestone a few days ago, reaching the 1 and 1/2 year mark! They are just so much fun to be around - always trying to meet new people, try on shoes or purses, talking on pretend phones, giving hugs and kisses, playing hide and go seek, climbing everything, and imitating new words. We can barely keep up!

We went to see Doctor Tom today and here are the stats:
Macie: 30.5in long (20th %), 21lb 11oz (20th %), and head circumference 47.3cm (75th %)
Caroline: 31.5in long (50th %), 24lb 1oz (65th %), and head circumference 47.3cm (75th%)
He said they are both following their growth curves beautifully! We all love beautiful growth curves :)

The video is silly, but if you listen carefully, you'll hear some new words. Caroline now says Aligator (Ah Go Go Go go go) and Hiking Boots (Hikeee booo) and Macie is still obsessed with Bicycles (Sikka). We love it!

Kisses and Hugs

I know we fight sometimes, but I love you, Sister!!!!
Caroline and Macie giving kisses
and HUGS! (the head lean is what they think hugs are :)

Climbing Caroline!

Look what Caroline can do! See Macie watching?
So proud! And, mom breathes a sigh of relief!

A day in the life....

We wake up, share a chair for a quick cuddle.... (could Macie be any happier?)

Then, mom takes us on a ride to the Post Office around the corner and we read our new coloring books (kind of like reading the paper!).
We eat a little lunch, and while we're at it, we put cheese Hats on! (pronounced "Cheeza HA")
Gives a whole new meaning to Cheese Heads!

Before dinner, Caroline does an interpretive dance with cup puppets and....
for dessert, Macie tries a lemon-flavored popsicle! mmmm

East Coast Visitors Part I

We got to see my second cousin, Carolyn (very confusing for Caroline!) and her family when they were out here visiting last week. We had so much fun!
Max and Sam show Macie and Caroline how to properly use our patio!

Max, sporting my alma mater's best logo - Emory Football STILL UNDEFEATED!
