Update 3.5

The girls have been busy! They turned 3 and 1/2 on Monday, but seem like they're going on 15 :) The things they've been up to:

Snapping, playing (elaborate pretend stories) with their babydolls, making ice cream and coffee in their play kitchen, eating hangaburs, practicing their "L" sounds, saying "Care-o-line," "Mace," making up names for their dolls (Bolive, Collalola, Beans, etc), lsaying rhyming words (that's a little funny sometimes), crazy-accurate memories (asking if someone feels better MONTHS after she was sick - and only having met her once!), dressing themselves, explaining to people that they look a little different because of their bangs and that Caroline is a little bigger, but they're both 3 and a 1/2, (so when people ask them who was born first, they get annoyed and say, "We're BOTH 3 and a 1/2!" Like, hello people, I just told you we're the same age :) They love meeting new people EVERYWHERE we go! Caroline's become a little cuddlier and sensitive, while Macie likes her independence. While Caroline is still super-athletic, climbs everything, and is fast, Macie can bike like a banshee!

In addition to keep up with Macie and Caroline, Mike started a new job 3 weeks ago and LOVES the change, and I'm back to school teaching 3 days a week. We are busy, but have managed to go to Matthews Beach three days in a row to let the girls swim and just relax on the grass. We can't believe summer's over and the girls are on their way to being 4 year olds!

Jumping and Hammocking :)

FUN night with grown-up Kate and Madeline on the trampoline and new hammock!

Uncle Brock and Aunt Lindsay's Wedding!!!!

Also known as "The Flowergirls BIG Day!" We had so much fun with the whole family and Macie and Caroline did a great job walking down the aisle (maybe not so much with the throwing flowers, ahem, Macie :) and then they danced all night. It was a beautiful venue with redwoods, old buildings, and farm animals! What a memorable wedding!!!!

Rehearsal Dinner

Best tacos ever at the Harbor Cafe! Caroline and Meredith enjoy the yummy ice cream, as do Macie, Uncle Matt and Aunt Melissa, and finally, the big Copeland family picture.

Rehearsal

Praciticing for the big day at the farm in Bonny Doon involved saying hi to Lucy the pig (Caroline: "I hear she bites"), checking out the redwoods where the ceremony will be, playing in the flowers, and getting some rocket rides from the Tickle Monsters (Clint and Brock). FUN!

Daddy's Birthday!

Happy Birthday, Mike! What could be better than a power-nap with your two little girls? They were so excited to see dad!
