Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!  We are excited about 2013 and all that it will bring.  We have done a ton of fun things the last several months - including spending the holidays with my family here on the West Coast and then with Mike's family in Atlanta.  It was a great way to send 2012 off.

We have lots of pictures to post, but Blogger won't let us!  I think we filled our quota of space, so we're trying to figure out what to do next.  Don't worry - pictures will be back soon.  A few months late, but that's life :)

Quick update on what we're up to:  Macie and Caroline have been practicing with their rollerskates from Santa (geared up with knee pads, elbow pads, and gloves, thanks to Aunt Melissa and Uncle Matt!).  They just laugh and "skate" up and down our sidewalk - it's pretty hilarious :).  They are also loving all their beauty supplies (nail polish, hair feathers, and combs - ahem, Carly, Jim, and Linda).  And decorating their room with glow in the dark stars and cool removable stickers!  While we were in Atlanta, Mimi and the girls WROTE STORIES!  They each have a book of stories they wrote - and they can read them, too - it's AWESOME!  I'm so proud of them (and it was great to see Mimi show me what to do with almost 5 yr olds!).  One of my favorite nights in Atlanta was playing "Kids on Stage", which is basically charades for kids - Papa was the most amazing bunny rabbit I've ever seen!  It was hilarious and the girls loved it!

Another cool thing from Christmas were the blocks my sister created for the girls - they're pictures of them, it's really cool (pictures will explain).  They are also loving staying in their pj's and the robes my mom made them, playing dollies (good thing my dad's building baby doll beds!), decorating things (crowns! calendars!  walls!), and reading all the time, especially their Tag books.  What fun!

We're hoping to get out in the snow again soon - either on snowshoes or skis or both!  OK, off to rollerskate!
