Great Grandma Mildred's Memorial in PA

Last Thursday, Mike and I took the girls to celebrate the life of their great-grandmother, Mildred. We went on a couple planes, through Chicago, to Harrisburg, and then drove to Lewistown, Pennsylvania. Surprisingly (?), the girls did great! On Friday, we PLAYED - look at this great playground!

Caroline and Macie on the merry-go-round with dad

Macie loved her skunk!
Caroline loved her bunny rabbit!

I'm looking a little nervous as Caroline climbs, all by herself!

At the Ammon's farm with PAPA!!!! Macie is back on the tractor

So beautiful

Baby Cow!
Back in the hotel - getting into stuff :)

Out to dinner with Papa - Macie does NOT like lemons! (Yet, she kept eating it! It kept her occupied for about 30min, until she poured ice water all over herself - oops)

Saturday - Mildred's memorial service was really wonderful. Lots of family and friends and great stories shared.
Unfortunately, the only picture I have from the memorial is during lunch, when the girls found a bike trailer and climbed in! The rest of the time was pretty busy, listening to the service, talking to people, and keeping the girls entertained.

After the memorial, we went to visit Mildred's grave. Such a beautiful cemetary!
Here, Mimi tries to convince Macie that she should put the pumpkin back!

Sunday - up at 4:30am (which is 1:30am West Coast time)! Macie doesn't mind, as long as she has mom's scarf. A short, but really wonderful trip to celebrate such an amazing life.
